Its house band, comprising a group of youngsters who met at north London youth centres, were destined to become a group in their own right. With the release of the 1974 album In Time, The Cimarons were born. Harder Than The Rock is a riveting account of this singular band and their rich history, a celebration of their longevity, and a fascinating look at the cultural and political importance of reggae. It features, amongst others, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Paul McCartney, alongside some classic appearances by The Cimarons themselves.
