简介：The filmmaker joins her mother's annual visit to the house where the latter was born and raised in a village in Hong Kong. This house is still the home of the mother's 95-year-old father, the grandfather of the filmmaker, affectionately known as Gong Gong. The film spans several weeks, and follows the daily routine of the grandfather, mother and granddaughter, which takes place entirely in the compound of the house in the village. The shared and close stay reveals the different and changing relationships between the three generations, which exist in the face of deep gaps. Against the background of the lack of a common language, belonging to separate and distant cultures, differences in lifestyles and a gap between generations, the film describes a longing for closeness and seeks to examine the different forms through which intimacy can emerge.
