简介：Dentist Petar and his wife Marija are struggling to maintain the cohesion of their community on the outskirts of their nation’s capital, which has been disrupted by the construction of a council building. A year and a half after a devastating earthquake ravaged the centre of the city, the local authorities use the building as temporary housing for people whose homes are still unsafe. A local strongman joins forces with the city’s mafia boss, and starts buying the displaced peoples’ destroyed flats at bargain-basement prices. After accepting the post of chair of the local council, Petar confronts them. Meanwhile, among the newly arrived in the municipality is Petar's old flame Dunja. The personal dramas of young people from different walks of life, who have conflicting aims and expectations, intertwine to give rise to a vibrant social life in a suburb on the outskirts of the capital – the true star of the series.
