The Body is a feature documentary dealing with resilience and acceptance, life and death, disease and health, the interconnection of body and mind. The story highlights the 20-year-long attempt at survival and acceptance of a young Slovenian woman who has been fighting a series of autoimmune diseases. Combining extremely realistic and poetic elements, this observational documentary intertwines the protagonist's past with her present, reconstructing the journey she's made and the ordeal she and her family have been facing. The project raises philosophical questions that remain unanswered but aim to challenge the audience all along.
